October
12th 2008 Great
Win for Aaron Fogarty in Boys U.11 Cross Country
Last
Sunday we travelled to
Littleton
for the 2nd leg of the Tipperary Juvenile Cross Country.
In the 1st race Aoife Doyle was our only competitor U.9.
Aoife got a great start but unfortunately had a fall but was brave
enough to recover quickly and finished a fantastic
4th.
Next race we had a team in the boys U.9 all running well, with Oran Brophy
coming home in 7th place, Aidan Keane 16th, Cian
Kinsella 19th, Cathal Kelly, 27th and
Aaron
Kinsella running out of his age finished a great 36th for a 4th
placed team.
Kelly-Ann Doyle U.13 was always up with the leaders and ran a very
positive race to finish 6th
out of age.
In the Boys U.11 here we had great excitement and encouragement for Aaron
Fogarty who was always in control, running with the leaders from the gun
and finishing with a Sprint finish for a commanding win, leading his Team
to a Bronze Medal win.
He was well supported by Brandon O’Sullivan 14th, Mark
Kehoe 17th, Oisin Brophy 21st and Andrew Long and
Darra Kelly finishing in the bunch.
In
the Boys U.15 we had one competitor Liam Landy running another great race
to finish 9th out of his age and gaining more experience for
next weeks Munster Championship U.14.
Next
Sunday we travel back to
Littleton
for the 1st leg of the Munster Cross Country Championship for
Even Ages. We will have teams in Girls U.10 & U.12 and Boys
U.12 and competitors at U.10 & U.14 Boys.
