The Tipperary Community Games Athletic Finals were held in Templemore Track on Sunday 26th June. 24 of our Athletes who won gold medals will go forward to compete at the National Community Games Finals on the 19th to the 22nd August in AIT Athlone.

U/8 Caoimhe Power competing in her first competition competed brilliantly to win a sliver medal in the 80m final. Ava Lynch also competing for the first time again competed brilliantly to finish 5th in 60m final.

U/10 Roseanne Fitzgerald and Dylan Wall who has a perfect birthdays for competing in Community Games both had outstanding races to win gold in the 60m U/10 boys and girls Hurdles finals. Making it a double titles for our area.
In the Mixed relay the team of Noel Amyanwu, Chloe Hall, Dylan Wall, Kellie Bester and Callum O’Meara had a run away victory in their heat and then went on to take Gold In the final.

U/12 Ciara Flaherty won the heat of the 100m and semi final took home the bronze in the 100m final.

U/13 The mixed relay team of Shauna Twomey, Ciara Flaherty, Jake Vermeer, Scott Redmond Dunphy, Jack Walsh and Niamh Foley ran an impressive race to win the title.

U/14 Rebecca Kelly ran a fantastic 80m Hurdles final to win gold.
100m Luke Faulkner ran a great race and took home the bronze medal in the Final.
80m Hurdles Darragh and Conor Shelly Grangemockler Area both ran very well to finish 2nd and 3rd in the Final.
Shot Putt Michael Whelan threw very well on the day to finish 3rd.
Our Boys Relay team U/14 of Michael Whelan, Luke Faulkner, Shane Hanlon and Jack O’Sullivan came together on the day to run a great race taking home yet another gold.

U/16 Emily Walsh did great jumping on the day to win the High Jump with a jump of 1.40m.
Clodagh Fitzgerald who was in fine form and throwing well won gold in the Javelin and her club mate Eimear Bartley also threw well to win silver.
100m it was a 1,2 ,3 for our athletes with Leanne Prout Ballingarry winning and Zoe Lynch  and Hannah Dalton finishing 2nd and 3rd  in the Final. In the Boys 100m Darren Prout Ballingarry finished  3rd in the Final.
Heather Dowley did well In the Discus her throw go her 3rd place.
The Relay team of Clodagh Fitzgerald, Eimear Bartley, Hannah Dalton, Zoe Lynch, Emily Walsh and Heather Dowley were thrilled with their win and head for Athlone.
