The County B Track & Field Championship was held last Sunday in Templemore.  The weather was fabulous and a great day was had by all.

U9 Girls 60m was won by Caoimhe Power how ran a great race to take home the gold. Robyn Fitzpatrick competing in her first Championship won Silver in the Ball Throw with a throw of 11.20m and Hannah Foley was 5th in the Long Jump with a jump of 2.21m.

U10 Girls    Chloe Hall had did some great jumping on the day to win the Long Jump with a jump of 3.45m, Chloe also ran a great 60m final to finish 3rd. Kellie Flaherty was 4th in the Long jump with a jump of 3.01m, Alannah Twohig and Carly Dalton also did some great jumping.  Alannah and Kellie running their first 300m Final crossed the line in 4th and 5th place.

U10 Boys    Eoin Morgan did very well winning the Ball Throw with a throw of 24.21m.  Callum O’Meara ran a great race to win the final of the 60m.

U11 Girls  Rachel Walsh had a great Championship when she won the Long Jump with a jump of 3.40m and was 2nd in the 60m final.  Caitlin Twomey who was also jumping well on the day took home silver in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.39m.  Bridhannah Doody did very well to win the Ball Throw with a fine throw of 18.08m, Caithlin Twomey was 2nd with a throw of 17.25 and Keeley Rocket was 3rd throwing 15.42m.

U11 Boys  It was 1st, 2nd and 3rd for Carrick-On-Suir in the Ball Throw with Jake Costello winning the event with a throw of 33.08m, Dylan Wall was 2nd with a throw of 32.45m and Noel Anyanwu was 3rd throwing 32.34m. Callum O’Meara had great jump of 3.39m in the Long Jump, giving him 3rd place. Well done boys.

U12 Boys  John O’Dwyer had a great Championship running a great race to win the 600m final; he was also 3rd in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.33m.

U13 Boys   Jack Walsh ran a great 80m final to win the event, Jack was also 2nd in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.09m. Scott Redmond Dunphy won two bronze medals when he was 3rd in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.03m and was also 3rd In the Shot Putt with a throw of 4.77m.

U14 Girls  Niamh Foley won the Long Jump with a jump of 3.53m and she also finished 3rd in the 80m final. Alexandra Innocent threw well to take home bronze in the Shot Putt with a throw of 5.78m.

U14 Boys  Steven Waters competing in his first Championship won the Long Jump with a great jump of 4.04m.
