Scottish Indoor Triple Jump for darren prout

At the Scottish Indoor Championships held in Kelvin Hall Glasgow last weekend, Darren Prout won the U.15 Triple Jump with a great jump off 11.07m a new Championship record.  Darren led the competition from the very beginning with consistent jumping of between 11.02m to his winning jump of 11.07m. Darren was also 4th in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.14m only 2cm behind 3rd place.

In the girls U.15 Emily Walsh was 2nd  with a great jump in the Triple Jump and a PB of 8.95m.

Kellyann Doyle U.15 won her heat in the 60m Hurdles and was 3rd in the Semi-Final and a very close 4th in the final. Kellyann  despite being ill on the day had a brilliant Triple Jump Competition where she was unlucky to finish 4th with a jump of 8.93m beaten only on the 3rd count back jump.

Other competitors to compete well were Rebecca Kelly and Leanne Prout U.15 who both reached the semi-Finals of the 60m and 60m Hurdles. Zoe Lynch and Hannah Dalton competed well in the 60m.

Aoife Doyle U.13 competing out of her age finished 7th in the Long Jump and also reached the semi-final of her 60m, no doubt she cant wait to return to compete in her own age again next year.

In the Junior Women’s Triple Jump Aoife Bartley was 3rd with a jump of 10.85m and she was also 3rd in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.22m.

Shane O’Dwyer was again in fine jumping form when he finished 3rd with a Clearance of 1.95m. Shane was well over the 2m jump but clipped the bar with his heel, when we all thought he had cleared the 2m height. Which is truly his ambition.

Shane Prout competing in the Junior Men Triple Jump finished 3rd with a jump of 12.48m.
